Editorial portrait Portland Oregon of college housemates
Housemates: “7 college roommates turned chosen family. The days are spent studying, watching movies, and playing games; banagrams, UNO, pandemic and others... A lot of people are dealing with loneliness and boredom during this quarantine. Meanwhile, there is rarely a dull moment in this household. We bicker and tease like siblings, but forgive like best friends! Especially during this time, we are grateful to have each other.
Most of us have been on track to graduate this year. Now our graduation seems shrouded in mystery... A community planner, a computer scientist, a psychologist, an entrepreneur, a financier, a physician, and an environmental scientist, moving forward together during this time of uncertainty, towards an eventual graduation. While THAT is the ultimate goal of this time as college students, we are not so sure we are ready for it to end... We don’t know what our individual futures look like, but we do know that the time spent together right now is forever ours. Being quarantined together has only reminded these 7 of the importance of good friends, who become family!”
