Editorial portrait of a mom and her two boys at their window
Liz: “When you’re divorced, your bubble during this Covid-19 epidemic is bigger than just your immediate family that lives with you in your home. I have shared custody and so does my boyfriend. So right now my bubble consists of my ex, his fiancée, my boyfriend, his ex wife, her boyfriend, and all the kids! It took a few weeks but I think we’re in a good groove now. You have to depend on each other and help each other and acknowledge that each of our roles in this is important. I’m not saying that it’s always been easy- it’s been very hard at times. But last night I dropped off a huge pot of matzoh ball soup and a box of food at my ex husband’s house. This week my boyfriend’s ex-wife made me a beautiful mask that completely matches my personality. I’m so grateful for each and every little act of cohesiveness and teamwork to keep us all healthy and safe.”
