Editorial portrait of three women who are living together during the pandemic
"Our days of quarantined unemployment through this pandemic has been made easier by having each other to lean on. We are all coworkers at a bar in the Pearl District called River Pig Saloon. Being furloughed together, we were all going through the same frustrating unemployment process, but we’re figuring it out. It was just announced that the lock down has been extended to July 6th, which is hard for us because this is the time of year when we are the busiest at the bar. There will be no First Thursday block parties in the Pearl, and those were great money makers for us. But we understand the severity of the situation and know that it’s necessary to stop the spread of this devastating virus. In the mean time, we take it day by day. Playing Catan has given us endless hours of entertainment. We’re also becoming excellent cooks, enjoying the start of our new vegetable garden, and we even began putting together a new home gym in the garage. We’re calling it: Planet Quarantine."
